UN SDGs and Tropical Forests: Why We Should Care

24th November 2017 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

Cambridge International Development – CUiD – are hosting ‘UN SDGs and Tropical Forests: Why We Should Care’, a talk by Loraiza Davies, founder of Green Planet Ventures.

With environmental sustainability a key part of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals, learning how to conserve our planet’s natural resources is vital for anyone interested in social change, global issues or international development. Tropical forests are immensely valuable: they host well over 50% of the biodiversity of the planet. But they are slowly disappearing. Last year alone we lost an extension of forests the size of Ireland.
